Fingerprinting Information - each person on the Chaperone list (confirmed and alternate) MUST be fingerprinted with the Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD). Being fingerprinted with the Department of Justice under a different organization does not apply to the EGUSD guidelines and cannot be accepted. Fingerprinting is free through EGUSD and the links as well as posted hours are listed below for your information. PLEASE ensure that your fingerprinting with EGUSD is done by the first payment due(2/28).

The Elk Grove Unified School District requires volunteers who work unsupervised with students to be fingerprinted for a criminal background check. Most volunteers work under the supervision of a district employee and are not affected. Volunteers who need to be fingerprinted typically include mentors at businesses, coaches, field trip drivers and chaperones. The fingerprint check is done by the U.S. Department of Justice. They look for convictions for drug crimes, sexual crimes, or violent felonies. It is the same check that district employees must pass prior to being hired.
Volunteers are not charged for fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is available in room 103-A at the Robert L. Trigg Education Center, 9510 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Mondays & Wednesdays 8:30-10:30 a.m. and Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30-4:30 p.m. Hours are subject to change. For more information, please call (916) 686-7795 ext. 67172.
